It is excellent for securing boxes in place to keep them from shifting in transit and reinforcing packages bearing significant weight. Both are available in clear, black, and white. 104 offers a medium tack that provides clean removal which is ideal for branded boxes that require the exterior packaging design to remain pristine. The 105 Strapping Taper offers a higher tack and reinforcement strength. Strapping tape is ideal for bundling, palletizing, and unitizing and is most commonly used to reinforce palletized materials. You can apply the tape manually or with a tape dispenser or automated machine.

How to apply strapping tape

Applying strapping tape correctly is essential to ensure that your packages and palletized goods remain secure throughout transit. Follow these steps to achieve optimal adhesion and maximum performance:

Apply the tape by hand or using an applicator. To apply by hand, unroll the tape and firmly apply pressure to seal it in place. Using a tape dispenser or automated machine speeds up the process and ensures consistent application.
For optimal results, ensure the surface is clean and dry before applying the tape. This practice enhances adhesion and ensures maximum performance. Dirt, dust, or moisture can affect the adhesive properties of the tape.
Press down firmly along the length of the tape to ensure a secure bond. For manual application, use your hand to smooth out the tape and press it against the surface. With a dispenser, guide the tape while pressing down to secure it in place.
