APPLICATION TAPE STORAGE AND USAGE GUIDES
OVERVIEW
Presto Tape application tapes should be stored in a cool, dry area at room temperature, ideally between 60°F to 80°F (15°C to 27°C), with ~50% humidity to avoid adhesive degradation. Optimal application temperature is typically around 70°F–75°F (21°C–24°C). Store rolls vertically in original packaging and avoid extreme heat or cold.
RECOMMENDED STORAGE
- Store application tape products in original package/shipping cartons until needed
- Temperature range of 60 °F- 80 °F
- Relative humidity range of 45%-55%
- Keep away from exposure to temperature extremes, direct sunlight, and water
- Rotate application tape inventory on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis, ensuring usage within the 6-month warranty period
APPLICATION GUIDELINES
- Optical Application: 70 °F- 75 °F is ideal for consistent, professional results
- Surface Temperature: The surface should be within this range, not just the air temperature
- Cold Temperatures: Cold surfaces make the adhesive brittle, reducing effectiveness
- Hot temperatures: High heat can make the adhesive too aggressive and difficult to remove
Tip: If storing in a non-climate-controlled area, let the tape acclimate to the application room temperature for several hours before use.
