White protection film for anti-static booths

Product Details

Anti-stat protection film is a temporary protective mask designed for paint spray booths and walls. The white LDPE film catches overspray, dust, and dirt before it builds up on booth surfaces, and its anti-stat additive helps keep static from building on the film. When the film is loaded with overspray, it peels away cleanly with minimal adhesion buildup, leaving a fresh surface for the next layer.

BENEFITS

Benefits of Presto Tape's Anti-Static Protection Film
Carpet Protection Film

Faster Booth Maintenance

Scraping and stripping overspray from booth walls takes a booth out of production. With protection film in place, crews peel away the dirty layer and apply a fresh one, getting the booth back to work in a fraction of the time.

Cleaner Finishes

The anti-stat additive helps reduce static buildup on the film, so less dust clings to booth walls and finds its way into a wet finish. The result is fewer defects and less rework.

Bright, Protected Walls

The white film keeps booth walls bright and uniform while shielding the panels underneath from overspray and buildup. Booth surfaces stay in better condition for longer, lowering long-term maintenance costs.

PROCESS USE

Anti-Stat Protection Film is designed to mask paint spray booths and walls during painting and coating work. It provides a temporary barrier that catches overspray, dust, and dirt, then peels away cleanly so booth surfaces stay protected between changeovers.

The film can be used for specific uses, including:

Paint Spray Booths

Masks booth walls and panels against overspray buildup. When a layer is coated, it is replaced with fresh film instead of scraping or repainting the booth.

Walls in Painting and Finishing Areas

Protects walls near painting, prep, and finishing stations from overspray drift, dust, and dirt during day-to-day production.

Booth Maintenance and Changeovers

Makes scheduled booth cleaning faster. Crews peel and replace the film during shutdowns or color changes, keeping downtime to a minimum.

APPLICATION USE

The film is suitable for a range of booth and wall surfaces.

Painted Steel

The most common booth wall panel finish. The film’s adhesion is rated to steel and holds firmly while removing cleanly.

Galvanized Steel

Used in many booth enclosures and ductwork panels for its corrosion resistance.

Aluminum

A lightweight panel material found in some booth enclosures and finishing room walls.

HOW TO APPLY & REMOVE PROTECTIVE FILM

Applying the Film

For best results, apply the film to a clean, dry wall at room temperature.

1. Prepare the Surface: Clean the booth walls of dust, oil, and loose overspray, and let them dry completely.

2. Start at the Top: Line up the edge of the roll at the top of the wall and press the first few inches firmly into place.

3. Work Downward: Unroll the film down the wall in sections, keeping it straight and even.

4. Smooth the Film: Press the film flat with a squeegee or clean cloth, working out air bubbles and wrinkles for full contact.

5. Overlap Seams: When covering a wall with multiple strips, overlap each new strip by 1 to 2 inches so no gaps are left for overspray.

6. Trim Around Openings: Use a utility knife to trim the film around doors, windows, and fixtures. Keep the film clear of filters, light panels, and exhaust openings.

Removing the Film

Remove the film within 60 days of application, or sooner once it is loaded with overspray.

1. Lift an Edge: Start at a top corner or seam and gently lift the film.

2. Peel Slowly: Pull the film down and away at a low angle, folding it onto itself as you go to trap overspray and dust.

3. Reapply: Wipe down the wall and apply a fresh layer of film to keep the booth protected.
